PROCESS OF PREPARATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF HIBAH DECLARATION LETTER

STEPS TO PREPARING AND EXECUTING HIBAH DECLARATION DOCUMENTS


Step 1: Complete the Hibah Form

Fill in all required information accurately through the form provided by eHibah.  


Step 2: Review Information

Ensure all details are correct, including: 

  • Name & ID number
  • Beneficiary Details
  • Asset Details
  • Allocation of Percentages


Step 3: Make Payment

Complete the payment and send proof of payment to:

amanah@ehibah.com  


Step 4: Receive Hibah Document

The Hibah document will be sent in PDF format via email after payment verification.  


Step 5: Print Document

Print the received Hibah document.  


Step 6: Sign the Document

The Donor must: 

  • Sign the document
  • Obtain the signature(s) of the Hibah Recipient(s).
  • Prepare two (2) eligible witnesses and obtain their signatures along with copies of their identification (IC). Note: Witnesses must not be Hibah Recipients.
  • Prepare two (2) eligible Trustees if the Hibah Recipient is below 18 years old.
    Note: A Hibah Recipient who is above 18 years old is eligible to act as a Trustee for a minor Hibah Recipient.


Step 7: Stamp Duty at the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) 

Complete the stamp duty process at the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN).  


Step 9: Safekeeping

Keep the original document in a safe place and inform trusted parties.  


Step 10: Periodic Review

Update the Hibah Declaration if there are changes such as: 

  • New assets
  • Change in beneficiaries
  • Change in personal circumstances
